That was supposed to be an echo, by the way. I completely forgot about this blog after completely forgetting about the writing blog on blogspot and completely forgetting about a lot of other uber important stuff.  I intended on only using this one for writing info but to tell you the truth I don't find Weebly very user friendly. I make look into something else for the website.

Anyway, I've been writing like a mad woman and have just recently found out I'll be writing for another blog (the paying ones get my complete attention). Although my personal blog, www.solitarymama.com has been a little more fun for me lately. You know, single mother angst and all that special interesting stuff. I'm practically Hollywood...

I've also noticed that the website is just plain old ineffective so I plan on changing some stuff around.  Thanks for reading and I promise to not completely forget again...
 
 

I've been pounding away trying to get my single parenting blog together. It never looks quite ready, but it's a little closer I guess.

I've also been keeping up with the articles for the magazine. The editor sent an email that she had something fun for me regarding the book The Girls from Ames, by Jeffrey Zaslow. Can't wait to see what that's about.

For some reason the Plus Size Clothes for Teens at Suite 101 has been popular today. I wish I knew why, I don't see any extra links or anything in the stats, they've all come from Google all of a sudden. Just put up one on Designer Fashion Accessories for Teens that isn't doing nearly as well. Weird how that works.

Writers Weekly 24 Hour Contest
I received an Honorable Mention in the Spring 2009 Writer's Weekly 24 Hour Short Story Contest with a story titled "First Place Prize". (Apparently they don't pick up on subliminal messages.) Still, I'm honored by the Honorable Mention.

Sign up is open for the Summer Contest. Once you have signed up,  July 18, 2009, they will email a story starter with the required word count and you have 24 hours to complete and email your story back.

I  recommend trying it, I had fun and it was a nice break from the article writing. Haven't worked on any fiction in a really long time-- which reminds me, I need to work on some fiction writing. 

Pretty sure I'll try the Summer contest, I plan on winning that money one of these days ;)

I never thought I'd get this website together by myself but...here it is. Proof of course that any old goofball can build their own website.

It still isn't complete but at least I finally got it started instead of sitting here thinking I should get it done.

I've been fiddling around with this all evening and haven't had a chance to write anything...work-wise, that is. First time in a while.

Still, I shall pat myself softly on my back for getting it done. What can I say, I'm impressed easily.
